PATIENCE

Happy New Month Folks.

It’s the ninth month already, how fast the year’s moving.
How well have you spent last 8 month?
Have you been productive in the last 8 months?
Have you improved on yourself?
Have you been taking conscious steps towards the fulfilment of your purpose?

While pondering on those questions, let me drop this short article as a starter for the month.
I’ll be talking about Patience.

They say, “Patience is a virtue” and a golden one at that.
Patience is one of the pillars upon which a successful life is established. Patience is the oven in which golden destinies are purified. It is a function of time which allows for clarity and deep insight. It is one of the ingredients necessary for fulfilment.
However, a lot of times, we find ourselves wanting to just get everything done in a hurry, wanting to acquire things in a hurry, wanting to attain certain standards of living in a hurry. Some go all the way to do anything and everything just to get their desires actualised.
Speed is good, nobody really wants to be living life not making noticeable progress. However, patience is key to ensuring that you get to your desired destination. A senior colleague in the faith once said to us in a meeting that there is patience in speed, and you begin to wonder how patience and speed relate.

Ever wondered what the cause of major road accident is?
Some blame it on the deplorable condition of the roads, others on some mystical activities, but accidents still happen on good roads too. Reports show that most accidents really occur as a result of the impatience of many drivers, a situation that could have been avoided only if the drivers would have been patient enough to apply the brakes when they ought to if they would have just gone the journey on a moderate and steady pace. This has sent many people to their early graves. So sad.

PATIENCE IS THE BRAKE PEDAL IN THE VEHICLE OF LIFE

So also, in the race of life, destiny and purpose, many people set themselves up for head-on-collision with disappointment and failure simply because they were impatient. Thankfully some people have been able to recover while others didn’t get the opportunity to get their wrongs right.
There’s a time frame or scheme for the actualisation of every purpose in the realm of time and nothing can really change that, you can only arrive late, on time, early or too early. Also on the path to fulfilment, some signs and signals help to guide our journey and if we drive the vehicle of our lives too fast, we wouldn’t even be able to catch a glimpse of those signs and signal. I said in a meeting where I had the opportunity to speak some months ago that “If you run faster than your destiny, what are you going to arrive to?” Basically, when you run faster than your destiny, you arrive at a dead-end, a plane of nothingness and for some death.

When you run the race of life and destiny with patience, you'll see clearly, you'll hear clearly, you'd get to know the things you should know, you'd be able to avoid the pitfalls that can otherwise mar your destiny and place you in a state of perpetual alt and stagnation, you'd be able to avoid life accidents that often lead to death. Don't run faster than your destiny, don't go ahead of your maker, he has the blueprint of your life in his hands and can easily guide you. I say it's better to be slower than God sometimes, coz he can easily bring you up to speed, but when you're faster than him, it will take a great deal of grace to bring about a restoration.

As we journey further into the month of September, let us run the race set before us with all patience, remember that there is patience in speed for Patience is a golden virtue which when mined fetches the miner abundance of prosperity.

Once again,
I wish you a HAPPY NEW MONTH
