THE PRICE FOR GREATNESS

Indeed everyone wants to be great but not everyone has what it takes to be great and not everyone is willing to pay the price to attain some levels of greatness. A number of people really have it in them to be great, but they are not just willing or capable to give what it takes to get there. Some just sit around and day-dream about the kind of greatness they want, they expect that it will just come to them.

While I believe in the activities of supernatural forces capable of acting against the progress of man, I also believe that man himself could be and most times is the cause of his own failure. What a man does or doesn’t definitely determines what direction a man goes on the path of greatness and to what extent he can go.

This brings to principles that point one in the way of greatness. Some of those principles include but not limited to

·         Hard Work

·         Diligence

·         Giving

·         Time management

·         Continuous thirst for knowledge

·         Money management

·         Risk taking

·         Quality relationship management

·         Positive attitude and Good character.

·         Optimism

·         Patience

·         Perseverance

·         Consistency and Tenacity.

But beyond all that, there is the place of God. There is actually no greatness without God. He created all things “by Himself and for Himself”. So, if you are to be great, “you will be great by Him and for Him”. There is no exception to that “truth”.

Oh, you might wanna say, I really don’t need God, once I put into practice all of the principles that bring greatness.

I like to shock you that all of those principle stemmed out of a grand principle... “GODLINESS”. No one can achieve greatness without this gran principle and God himself instituted it, it is His culture, it is the standard by which he exists and live.

You might also want to point out that, there are people who don’t even believe in God and have made it so big, they are ruling the world.

I’d like to shock you again that it is possible to achieve such fits and not be great. Of course by human standards, such men are great, coz they have achieved so greatly in their careers and businesses, they have touched the world in the greatest possible ways. Some of them are philanthropist donating to different causes and helping a great deal of people. But all that doesn’t matter if God is not in it. I want you to understand that it is possible to succeed without even believing in God, coz the world operates by principles as God has made it. But there is something called fulfilment and that is the ultimate success. Now, some people may say that fulfilment is relative, but I say it is ultimate and there is only way to be fulfilled, GOD, through Jesus Christ.

It is also possible for some people to be greater than others. That depends on how far we are able to harness resources and opportunities that come our way and how much for the principles that leads to greatness we practice and how consistently we practice them. People often say, “No pain, no gain” and it is absolutely true. How much are you willing to sacrifice to be great? How far are you willing to go to achieve greatness? How much are you willing to let go?

The road to greatness is really tough and rough and only the tough can walk it, as the saying goes, “when the going gets tough, only the tough will get going. Even in the kingdom of God, There are certain things you must do to get to the next level, anointing won’t just fall on you, spiritual power won’t just fall on you, there is a price for everything.

Finally only those who are willing to give what it takes, only those who are willing to pay the price, only those who are willing to sacrifice and only those who are completely sold out to God really attain greatness. We have examples in the bible to guide, Jesus Christ being the best and greatest example of all.
